PAN number of IR's officers can be used to identify each PF account and officers may be permitted to log in using their login id and password to view their current status of PF account.

This is password protected hence identity/privacy theft is not an issue.Additionally, it is hosted on railnet. Posts: 275 (03/10/08 03:29:24) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I have two more requests: (1) All officers [Group A or B] must have unique PF number (preferably linked to PAN) so that in case of inter-zoanl transfer, same PF number must continue in new zone. (2) In case of transfer, PF records must be retained in Parent zonal railway , so that at the time of retirement, matching of PF acount poses no problem

Posts: 48 (03/10/08 04:07:10) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	As far as I know,all group A officers have only 1 PF no. wherever they go.And, that no. is assigned by the respective centralised training institute from the block of nos. allotted to it. Reg.Gr B officers,they continue to hold the same no. which they had during non-gazetted service.Since they are not normally transferred out of the parent rly,the question of possible duplicate no. does not arise. If all PF records are online,matching of PF records at the time of settlement will not be a problem anywhere in India,but before that,PRIME & AFRES being followed in different rlys have to be integrated and made online(I wonder how many rlys can do it as of now).
