The Income Tax and some Services in Railways are promoting the 1987 Batch/ 1986 (Exam Batch). We are sure IRAS will not lag behind and IRAS (1986 Exam Batch or 1987 Batch) will soon be considered.
Any reactions?? Twenty Years of Service is not very far away now. Alas when will the tunnel come to an end?  Ranjanesh |

As per the website whispersinthecorridors.com, 1978-79 batch ISS (Indian Statistical Service) is being promoted as Additional Secretary. Which Indian Railway Service can boast of such fast promotions?

13 person in IRSE 1986 batch are promoted in SAG .As far as addl secy rank is concern ,1976 batch of irse is working in this grade
while writing this I got the news that 8 more of 1986 batch inadditon to above 13 are promoted in SAG |

Can someone knowledgeable enlighten where do we stand in terms of promotions?
IRAS is the only service in railways that does not have any special departmental privileges of its own. Heck, I cannot even take consolation that my proposals get cleared fast. In a rare case, when a proposal gets initiated by me, it goes to Sr DFM for vetting. For some reasons, Sr DFM jumps on such opportunity to demonstrate his fairness and finance initiated proposals get delayed even more. The only sop to IRAS is a promise of timely promotions. I only hope that we do not get compromised on this. |
