When banks started crumbling the world over, capitalists the world over shouted their lungs out for a bailout and governments did oblige-afterall it threatened the world financial systems! So when the wag described capitalism as "Privatisation of Profits and Nationalisation of Losses", I could not but agree!

Kartic Sir's point is well taken that the Coffee house cooperative shares their profits. But then every Corporation also shares profits whenever they announce Dividends. And infact millions of ordinary middle class shareholders have made a fortune thanks to the Capital gains on shares like Reliance and Infosys.
